Overview
M2MGateway is a web service application built on the Microsoft .Net Framework and executes on top of Internet Information Services (IIS). M2MGateway communicates to the Made2Manage hosted web application servers over the Internet using HTTP.

Setting up M2MGateway involves the installation of pre-requisites, e.g. .Net Framework, MDAC, etc., installation of the M2MGateway package and configuration of the database connections.

In order to effectively install and configure the M2MGateway application, Made2Manage Systems requests that customers fulfill the following prerequisites prior to installing and configuring M2MGateway.

1.	A machine must be made available meeting the minimum required specifications as listed in the Technical Specifications document. This machine and your Made2Manage data must be part of the same domain. This machine must be running Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server with Service Pack 4, or Windows Server 2003. This machine must be a member of the domain acting as a stand-alone server, not a Domain Controller. While the installation of M2MGateway on a Domain Controller is possible, it is not supported by Made2Manage Systems. We also do not recommend installing M2MGateway on an email server, like Microsoft Exchange, because of the amount of memory used to run the service.
2.	The customer must provide a persistent internet connection with a minimum of 256 KB of bandwidth available.
3.	There must be a static Public IP address available to connect with the hosted applications web site.
4.	All routing and port forwarding of the external IP Address (Static) to the internal IP Address of the computer must be completed before installation of M2MGateway. This must be done through the customer's router, firewall, or proxy server.
5.	The customer should create a domain user account for use during the install of M2MGateway. This user should have full control of the m2mgateway install directory and access to the Made2Manage data. We suggest that the domain user account be added to the Local Administrator group of the machine hosting M2MGateway.

Installation Instructions

1. Read the Installation Guide and Technical Spec before starting.
2. Click the Download link to start the download.
3. Do one of the following:
   • To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location.
   • To copy the download to your M2MGateway server for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk.
